Why do you do what you do?

I pursued the opportunity of an internship with Pugh-Bellmar Financial, because I was excited to work in a female-led firm, in a male-dominated business sector. I am passionate about leadership, especially women in leadership, and getting the opportunity to learn from a successful female business owner is something I am grateful and excited for. Further, I am passionate about learning, and I know that working in the finance world will expose me to parts of business that I am unfamiliar with and give me the chance to understand them better.

What’s the best advice you have ever received?

When faced with a decision, I come back to the advice I received that normally the path that doesn’t make sense, isn’t easy, and is uncomfortable, is the path that will lead you to the most. I have seen that advice be true many times in my life, and it has taught me how to push myself in uncomfortable circumstances, adapt to new situations, and establish myself as someone who is willing to risk comfort to learn and grow.

What do you feel most grateful for in life?

I am filled with gratitude for my family and friends in my life, not only because of their support and love, but because of the way they fill my life and give me something to live for outside of myself. Relationships, at the end of the day, are the foundation of all of our lives, and I am incredibly thankful for the countless cherished ones I have.
